Opportunity
WeddingWire is seeking ambitious, talented summer interns to participate in the Summer Startup Rotation. WeddingWire is offering a 12 week startup rotation that allows summer participants to work across marketing, sales, product development / quality assurance and operations within a startup environment.
The startup rotation will allow you to experience the various functions of a fast-growing startup, and provide opportunities for you to participate directly with the members of each department.
Each rotation will last 3-4 weeks and provide the applicant with an opportunity to learn more about how an internet startup functions at the departmental level. A project will be assigned during each rotation that will allow the applicant to gain hands on experience and contribute directly to the departmental goals.
Some past projects include:
Marketing: Design and develop new portions of the WeddingWire marketing collateral (both online and print), research online marketing techniques and manage viral marketing campaigns (facebook, myspace, etc)
Sales: Assist sales staff by performing common pre-sales techniques, researching competitive landscape, and assisting with day-to-day sales operations
Product Development, Quality Assurance: Develop new ideas for the product and learn to write specification documents and build mockups, participate in online testing using popular commercial testing tools.
Operations: Assist with the daily consumer-facing functions of the business such as review validation, online vendor approvals, and more.
These are just a few examples of the types of projects that you will have an opportunity to participate again. This summer internship is designed to give you a breadth of hands-on experience across multiple departments and give you some direct insight into the daily activities of a technology startup.
Qualifications
First and foremost, applicants must be interested in working in a dynamic, start-up environment with limited structure.
